How do I embed subtitles into an avi file? I have the subs as a .srt file seperate .avi file for the movie.?
I tried using the vlc method but it is confusing.....so is the ffmpegx way...plus I have windows? I want to put the entire file after into a converter for my zune so I need to merge the subs into the video....

You dont have to embed your subtitle file to your movie file... Do this: Rename your .srt file with the filename of your .avi file and save both in the same folder. ex: if your movie file is Movie123.avi your subtitle file must be Movie123.srt hope this helps.
