I dont know But it certainly isnt what God wanted In fact HE said that we are NOT to make graven images an image set up specifically for people to look up to as though the image would do something for them

I think it is a statue of Jesus Christ or a Christian Saint. I might be wrong though.

That is a statue of Christ in Rio de Janiero Brazil It is enormous and looks out over miles and miles. It is so beautiful that the first time I saw it I could not stop the tears. God is for everyone. Some call him the Jehovah The Great Spirit etc. but there is only one Goad and he is for all mankind.

I believe you will find that statue was erected as a monument for Idol worshipers. catholics come to mind. however it belongs to no known religious group I know of. thou shalt have no god before me. thou shalt make no graven images. every knee shall bow every toung confess that jesus christ is lord. not a statue in a city or a cross on a hiway or a cross on a chain or any other facsimily does or can save your soul and condem you or santify you..

OK thats the figure of Christ on Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro Brazil which is a Catholic country. So it is obviously Catholic. And youre probably get screams thats not an idol because its Jesus. Enjoy
