FROM SAHIH ALBUKHARI The Holy Prophet s asked that writing materials be brought to him and Umar opposed the instruction This is one of the traditions we read in Sahih alBukhari the others which provide more detail will be shown shortly as narrated by Ibn Abbas: When the time of the death of the Prophet approached while there were some men in the house and among them was Umar Ibn alKhattab the Prophet said: Come near let me write for you a writing after which you will never go astray. Umar said: The Prophet is seriously ill and you have the Quran so Allahs Book is sufficient for us. The people in the house differed and disputed. Some of them said Come near so that Allahs Apostle may write for you a writing after which you will not go astray while the others said what Umar said. When they made much noise and quarreled greatly in front of the Prophet he said to them Go away and leave me. Ibn Abbas used to say It was a great disaster that their quarrel and noise prevented Allahs Apostle from writing a statement for them. Sahih al Bukhari ArabicEnglish Volume 9 hadith number 468 and Volume 7 hadith 573 Thursday And you know not what Thursday is? After that Ibn Abbas wept till the stones on the ground were soaked with his tears. On that I asked Ibn Abbas What is about Thursday? He said When the condition i.e. health of Allahs Apostle deteriorated he said Bring me a bone of scapula so that I may write something for you after which you will never go astray. The people differed in their opinions although it was improper to differ in front of a prophet. They said What is wrong with him? Do you think he is talking no sense delirious? Ask him to see if he is talking no sense. The Prophet replied Leave me for I am in a better state than what you are asking me. Then the Prophet ordered them to do three things saying: Turn out all the pagans from the Arabian Peninsula show respect to all foreign delegates by giving them gifts as I used to do. The third order was something beneficial which either Ibn Abbas did not mention or he mentioned but I forgot. Sahih al Bukhari ArabicEnglish Volume 9 hadith number 468 and Volume 4 hadith 393

SORRY some people are too blind to see the STRAIGHTFORWARD message in that hadith...and cant refrain themselves from mending the meaniing. in the name of allah: he who is blind in the dunya is blind in the hearafter

I dont see whats wrong with that he didnt want to disturb the prophet because he was ill. We follow the sahaaba in goodness like Allah SWT says: And the first to lead the way of the Muhajirin and the Ansar and those who followed them in goodness Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him and He hath made ready for them Gardens underneath which rivers flow wherein they will abide for ever. That is the supreme triumph. 100

Umar ibn alKhattab said on the minbar: Those who follow their own personal views and opinions are the enemies of Sunnah. They failed to memorize hadith so they give fatwas based on their own opinions. They have gone astray and led others astray. But we are those who follow and do not innovate. We will not go astray so long as we adhere to the Sunnah.

It was love care of his for prophet peace be upon him It was the same thing As Ali RA denied to follow prophets peace be upon himinstruction when he said erase Mohammad Rasool Ullah from the contract.

Well Sunni Brothers have twisted the interpretation but this is the fact that Omar did go against the Prophet Mohammad s.a.w. and Allah s.w.t. Not only that when Prophet died no Muslim were allowed to grieve on Prophet Mohammad s.a.w. Omar said any body saying that Prophet died I will kill him at the same time Omar gathered his friends and went for election to elect Khalifa or Imam or Muslim Ummah. While Many great Sahaba like Bilal Habashi Salman al Farsi and members of Ahlul Bayt were busy in the grieve of Prophet Mohammad s.a.w. It is very sorry for Sunni Brothers still they are sleeping and denying the reality. Their act is completely against humanity.
