Sony Digital 8 Camcorder dcrtrv260 to work with Vista ?

I am trying to use windows movie maker to make a movie with my Sony Digital 8 Camcorder dcrtrv260. I cant find a driver for it I have downloaded the Vista Fix Sony picture Utility Picture Package and nothing works ahhhhh I have been at this for hours im sure you know how that feels. I am using a digital video / USB cable. the dv is in the camera. Do I need an ieee 1394 cable? PLEASE HELP.......THANKS EVERYONE

Im going through the same thing except with Windows 7 Sony site says that all drivers needed should already be there however it doesnt work Im so bummed out and Ive been looking for days upon days...

According to the Sony site here: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/supportinfo.pl?templateinfoid544 Sony decided not to support the the USB streaming feature on Windows Vista or Windows 7. Thanks for nothing Sony. You will HAVE to get the ilink/firewire cable and have a firewire port on your computer to get your video off of it. I hate Sony.
