What is my best course of action regarding not getting back my security deposit from my landlord?

Im in NJ strong tenant rights state I had a lease in place for 3 months with 1st months rent and security paid. On move in day with no prior notice my landlord failed to deliver the premises and would not give up the keys due to his negligence to keep me properly informed regarding finding out his mortgage company prohibited making his primary residence a rental due to the amount of money he owed. He knew the situation at hand before I signed the lease but states he was optimistic he could get their approval before move in date but never mentioned to me my move in was based on his mortgage companies contignecy. He told me this on move in day keeping me in the dark. My lease is still binding because he was optimistic he could get it resolved and knew the situation before signing and never informed me of anything except on move in day. Hes done nothing to mitigate his damages he returned my security deposit back to me 2 weeks later after the breach he only had 5 days max. Now a week later the check balanced due to him having insufficent funds in his account and I get charged a fee for this. What is my best course of action to ensure he pays for not only taking 2 weeks to return my security deposit back but now having it balance 5 days later taking the money away and I get charged an additional fee from my bank Im so mad at every circumstance in this situation. Now Im to the point where i just want him to pay for doing this to me. Should I contact him and tell him to resend it or should I let him figure it out keeping in mind its only delaying his damages and delaying my ability to do a reasonable search for housing. As I understand from the laws perspective my search for housing cant be done until Ive recieved my security deposit back. The breach happened on June 15th now its July 9th should I at least wait until the 16th to mention this given hell have to pay double the security deposit and hell have to pay 2 months worth of damages for a reasonable search for similar housing? I have money for now but the check balancing was the last straw I want to get every dollar Im entitled to for his negligence and egregious behavior. I move back home with my parents for the time being an hour away from my town. Currently Im commutting to work Ill wait as long as needed with my main goal of making him pay as much money as possible for screwing me harder then anyone can imagine. Best course of action meaning should I demand it now or wait another week or so it would be over a month and he didnt return it?

Your wording is so prissy and legalistic its hard to tell what happened. BTW a check bounces it doesnt balance. It makes no sense that you have to wait for return of the security deposit to search for housing. Where should you live in the interim a homeless shelter? Small Claims Court is your best bet if the landlord still owes you money. I would suggest that you use straightforward English there.

I think your best course of action is dependent on how badly you want to hurt another individual. It sounds to me like the guy got screwed himself by the mortgage company and must be hurting for money otherwise the check would not have bounced. I agree he should have been much more upfront with you regarding the circumstances and he should not have given you a check that would not clear. My guess is even if you take him to court he wont pay. I would suggest talking to him and explaining that your next step is court but that you would rather handle this situation by just receiving what you are owed. That is your security deposit plus the fee he cost you and whatever else he cost you that I do not know about. It is always easier and much more cost effective to settle outside of a court setting without the cost of lawyers etc. However If this does not work get a lawyer and sue the hell out of him. while i am not sure about the law in n.j. i know that most states will award damages to you for any expense you have been out and a refund of all the money which you paid him including the o.d. charge from the bank. you may also be entitled to losses you may have obtained while seeking a new residence to live. all and any expense incurred. i would be of the opinion that you need to go see your county attorney about this matter and take all documentation which you may have concerning this subject with you. i am sure based on your statement you will receive a judgment against him. good luck with this matter. the dj man said that a former landlord and presently a city commissioner

Das ist weil Menowin denkt er wr der Beste und dass er schon der Sieger ist. Sonnenschein: Menowin ist nur mit Negativen Dingen in den Medien. Und wenn man wie die anderen nicht so Negative Dinge hat dann wird halt auch weniger berichtet. Ich glaube nicht dass die eiferschtig sind. Danke im Voraus fr die DR fr meine meinung. Ich habe DSDS gestern nicht angeschaut aber ich glaube sie haben ihm nach seinen Auftritten nicht umarmt oder irgendwie gratuliert so wie ich es mitbekommen habe. Aber es ist offensichtlich dass die anderen Kandidaten auf ihn eiferschtig sind weil er stndig in den Medien auftaucht vor allem in der Bild und durch seine Favoritenrolle sehr selbstsicher und berschtzt auftritt. Das ist doch eh alles Kindergarten bei DSDS ist doch klar dass Helmut gewinnt

Alle Jahre wieder kriegen wir DSDS. Ich habe noch einen Star gesucht und das sind diese Fremden im Fernsehen auch nicht. Meine Tante meine Oma mein Opa mein Goldfisch Das sind meine Superstars und die brauchten noch nicht mal das Fernsehen um berhmt zu sein. I have 2 credit cards with this company. the 1st had a 33 interest rate and was closed by the company just recently. I was never late or went over the limit. Why was it increased? I dont know. 2nd card has a 26 interest rate and same as the 1st never late or over the limit. I am upset that they wont lower my interest rate have made some unkind business practices and closed my account for which I just recently made a 900 payment on the 3000 I owe. On the 2nd I owe 7500 after making a 500 payment to the 8000. Was wondering if I should continue trying to pay them off not pay and pay the collection agency for a fraction of the price or simply sue the company for the way they have done business with me for both cards? At the moment I have a car paid off working on modifying my home loan and have 3 other credit cards that I am paying off as well but have a lower interest rate of less than 10 and have been pretty nice to me. I intend to pay the other 3 cards off without going to collections or being late on any. Please help with any advice. Sometimes I wonder if I need a good credit score if I have everything I need and pursuing a good credit score seems like a lost cause. I am 6 months behind in my mortgage but in the middle of negotiating my terms with the company under a lawyer that I hired. That is why they closed my account. Thank You Greatly

Once your credit score is ruined by the charge offs and/or late payments its going to take forever to get it back AND any future credit cards/loans etc will be affected because they will charge you a much higher interest rate. Talk to these people NOW and set up a payment plan that you can stick with. Dont cut off your nose to spite your face

Wait you are current on your credit cards but behind on your mortgage? How much to bring your mortgage current? Sell the car if it is worth anything sell anything in your home that isnt nailed down stop paying your ccs and stash enough cash to get current on your house. Get a second job and maybe a third to help gather cash. Kind of silly to be homeless but current on your credit cards. At this point being 6 months behind on mortgage your FICO is probably about as low as it can go. Not paying the ccs will not make that much of a difference.

Ah this is really gross and Im having a freak out moment as Im typing. I live in this really small apartment making things all the more claustrophobic for me right now. Any support is REALLY appreciated as Im on the verge of burning my skin off: Ive recently started organic container gardening to try growing vegetables and cut down on groceries. Theyve grown so far but now I tried growing more and as I dug into the potting soil bag there were mites and grubs. The mites crawled all over my skin and the grubs...well...theyre grossing me out. As I said I live in a small apartment so I keep the gardening stuff near my food. Bad idea ok ok but what else am I going to do? OMG this is a major freak out. I want to cut my skin out. It feels like theres mites all over me. Please help.

You can spread the soil out on a large cake pan and heat it in the oven for about 45 min 1 hour at 375 this will kill the molds bugs and so on.

Baking the soil is the best thing to do to rid yourself of insects I buy really good soil from gardening stores but before taking it inside for storage or usage...get that oven to heating and cremate those critters. I use a large roasting pan stirring often during the baking hot soil does kinda stink but its worth it. Any dry goods such as cerealflourcornmeal etc. already has insect eggs in them especially if purchased in a liquidation store. The item should be stored in air tight containers . I try to buy the freshest items possible and again store as suggested. I buy my flour as I use lots and put it in my freezer. The eggs are killed and will not hatch when brought into the warm cupboards. I have a garage and I take my pet food there and store in an air tight container. I have opened bags of dog food only to find moth worms or beetles in it. Your pet wont mind but they will crawl out a pet dish and infect clothes etc. I have a Liquidation Sore near me and I occasionally purchase cereal but when I get it home I take the inner sealed bag out of the box and tap the box upside down over the sink and check the inner bag to see if it IS sealed. Pressing it gently will show that it is vacuum packed If it quishes flat at the top it has an air leak somewhere....I take it back....this rarely happens But You DO need to store in air tight containers. Seems like a lot of work but I cant stand bugs in my home. I visited a friend in Florida and when I turned on a bedside lamp during the night the table top was covered with roaches which scurried quickly into the bottom of her African Violet pots. I took the pots and set them in a pan of room tempt water deep enough to come over the top of the pot. I scooped off the roaches from the water and killed them. They didnt want to drown ...which death was worse?lol

Next time get a commercial potting mix and dont use soil from the garden for pots. If you are going to continue to use dirt out of the garden than do what other suggested and pasteurize it to kill off the living things in the soil even though most are actually beneficial. Bugs are nothing to freak out about. if you are going to be growing food organically you will be dealing with them a lot. And most are beneficial to your plants and the soil so should not be harmed in any way. The grubs and mites will NOT get into your food. They dont eat cereal etc. they eat roots things in the soil etc.. the bugs that get into grains are the larva of certain moths. Storing grains/beans/flour in glass airtight containers or in your freezer will keep vermin from getting into your food.

This is the kind of story youve been reading about in the news lately. My mom is now 86. Always very private with her finances. She has lived alone for 12 years on fixed income from my fathers military annuity. She recently had a series of severe health problems. This is when I find out how much trouble shes in. Due to predatory lending She has mortgaged all of her equity in her property away to stay where she was living including 20000 in credit card debt and a 50000 2nd mortgage loan. The last mortgage was given to her at age 84 Now once her bills are paid counting insurances and utilities she was left with barely 100 to buy basic necessitates without using credit. Her last bout of illness took her shortterm memory and she is now unable to live on her own. We have checked her into an assisted living facility. However the cost of this facility consumes her 2800 per month annuity. A she probably has only has a few years left do we declare bankruptcy for her? Do I stop paying the credit card debts? Do I let them foreclose on the mortgages? How do we or can we protect her annuity from the creditors?

Sounds to me like bankruptcy is her best option although whether or not she has any equity in the house is a complicating factor. I would go see an elderly law specialist. There is a very good website developed by AARP that helps screen for government benefits for elderly people. See if there is anything that can help her: www.benefitscheckup.org. You also might want to check out the financial planners association FPA.ORG. These are certified personal financial planners and some of their planners perform probono work for free and can help you determine what if anything might be salvaged from her house to pay for the assisted care facility.

pues es una receta casera pon el jugo de un limon con 1 cucharada de agua remoja un algodon con la mezcla y ponlo sobre tu cara con ligeros golpecitos y si no se te quitan las manchas por lo menos se te aclara la piel pero creo que si funciona

Si vives en mexico con la crema: Tetraderm esa crema me la pongo cuando me salen granos o barros o cuando me queda la marca de un grano. espero que te sirva.

I would NEVER pay that amount for anything I can find better use for my money to be spent on then a fancy house Ill take my 3 br. home anyday over a 650000 home. And save for my future house that I can actually pay for in cash cause Im not throwing it down the toilet.

Its a bit too much but if he can afford it then you have no reason to worry about it at the end of the day when and if he cant pay the 3800 you know their taking the house from him but whatever he decides you just be there as a friend.

I live in NYC where 650k gets you a small 1 bedroom apartment. Thats not a big mortgage for a house that price and banks are being very careful about lending people more than they can afford. So if the bank lent him the money he can probably afford it. Sounds like your friend has a good sized down payment and a good interest rate. Remember that they will get a large income tax deduction based on that payment. Right now house prices are low and interest rates are low which almost never happens and means that it wil likely be a great investment. Money you spend on your house is just an investment like taking your money from one bank account and putting it into another.

A 600K mortgage at 6.5 is about 3800 a month. So that sounds reasonable. Also consider that the housing market is near rock bottom right now and that same house may be worth over 1 million in a few to several years. Also consider that generally speaking people make more money per year over time and that 3800 will seem like a steal several years from now. I pay 5000 a month in mortgages first and second on my home and while it seems like a lot its worth it to me. Its almost new completely rebuilt in 2007 with luxury appointments 2 BR 21/2 BA with a large den 1750 square feet total on a hill overlooking San Diego Bay Mission Bay including Sea World for nightly fireworks and the Pacific Ocean. But my wife and I make over 200K a year. So its very much worth it for us to live in such an awesome home in an incredible location. If someone else is willing to spend a certain amount of money on a place to live that shouldnt really be any concern of yours. Different people have different priorities. And if someone elses priorities are different from yours that doesnt make them wrong does it?
