SEO site redesign issues?
http//www.searchenginepro.com.au When I redesigned/upgraded my SEO website castax.com.au web site from 50 pages to 180 pages What is not changing.... All existing URLs All page titles and meta. The central content of every page What is changing.... Overall template code navigation now at right of page General moving of some links to the bottom of page etc about us Terms and Conditions The quantity of internal links on every page more links extra pages I have experienced that www.castax.com.au did not function good it is strangely ranking in search results . i.e it should ranked 1 for keyword tax agent Sydney but it is showing in position 5 even If I have the page title Sydney Accountants Tax Agent Sydney Liverpool/Fairfield NSW Tax Accountants Sydney. watch this. This is very strange for keyword Tax return Fairfield it is showing on position 1 even if the page title has no keyword Tax return however for keyword tax agent Fairfield it is showing in page 4. There is no competition for keyword tax agent Fairfield normally it should be position 1. Same with many other keywords. It is not working the way it should be. Some how after 40 days for only 2 days it ranked normally and it was very good but then it started to do this strange things again.. I wonder why? Generally speaking your website pages may very well rank even for keywords that are not found within pagebody. Its about what kind of backlinks your website has built over its lifetime. More importantly what was the anchor text for those backlinks. Try using Yahoo Site Explorer to build your backlink profile and then start handcrafting and modifying those links.
