It speeds up your metabolism like crazy..i just heard about it like 2 days ago when i told my cousins who live in germanythat i was going on a diet they told me i should drink green tea..they basically eat whatever they want healthy of course but they drink green tea before and after they eat. Drink 5 cups a day. It also helps clean your body from toxins and such bad things.

No more health benefits than many other teas. Drink any tea you like and only drink it if you like it. Most teas contain caffeine which makes you feel more alert and antioxidant which do not aid weight loss. Most teas contain large amounts of polyphenols which are plantbased substances that have been shown to have antioxidant anticancer and antiviral properties. Taken altogether the evidence certainly suggests that incorporating at least a few cups of green tea every day will positively affect your health says Diane McKay PhD a Tufts University scientist who studies antioxidants. Its not going to cure anything and it shouldnt be consumed as a drug but it can complement the rest of the diet.
