Can wild orange lilies grow in a container? I live in Ontario in the zone 5 gardening region?

Do they require shade? Full sun?

Yes they can. Though if the container is small or is in a spot that gets lots of winter wind they may not winter over. They like part sun.

I live in 5b gardening zone.in midcentral Ohio here the wild orange day lily grows up to 36 to 48 inches tall. they can grow in a container but as Cat wrote it needs to be quite large perhaps on the order of 2 to 21/2 feet deep there are a bunch of faux planters on the market made from resin covered foam which would fit your needs and not wreck your back when moving them.
